Rachael Haylock – Founder of Breath Body Earth Yoga School, 500hr E-RYT, Feminine Embodiment Coach, Somatic Facilitator, and Doula.

“I’ve spent over a decade immersed in the world of somatics, cultivating a deep understanding of the body-mind connection and the transformative power it holds.

At the age of 19 I was introduced to the world of somatics at university, and have since explored many pathways and tools to find my way back to myself over and over again, including; yoga, meditation, breathwork, dance and somatic practice, talk therapies, and embodiment work.

My path in yoga and somatics began as a personal exploration, a quest to uncover the hidden wisdom that resides within each of us. Through years of dedicated practice, study, and self-discovery, I’ve come to embrace the fundamental belief that the answers we seek already exist within us. My role, as I see it, is to serve as a facilitator, a guide who empowers you to tap into your innate wisdom and truly listen to the whispers of your body and soul.

My approach is centred around embodiment – the art of fully inhabiting and experiencing your body in the present moment. Through personalised guidance, and tailored practices, I empower you to cultivate a profound connection with yourself, fostering self-awareness, emotional resilience, and a deep sense of inner peace.

With a decade of hands-on experience in the field of somatics, I’ve honed my skills as a compassionate teacher and space holder. My journey has encompassed in-depth studies in yoga, movement, and somatic practices, allowing me to curate a unique blend of ancient wisdom and modern insights. This fusion equips me with the tools to help you navigate through the layers of your being, facilitating a harmonious alignment of body, mind, and spirit.”

Healing the Sister Wound – a somatic approach

Growing up in a culture where women are pitted against each other, the Sister Wound manifests as a feeling of distrust, competition, and unease between women. This rupture can be traced right back to the witch trials, when women were forced to abandon the practices that connected them to the natural world and each other.

Healing the Sister Wound is actually a remembering of what has been lost and forgotten. Healing this split starts first with re-connecting to the body and reclaiming the lived experience of the visceral.

In this workshop, we will begin to uncover the Sister Wound. Through self-inquiry and somatic exploration, participants are invited to reclaim what has been lost. We will come together as women, connect to our bodies, hear each other’s stories, and begin the journey of feeling what has been suppressed for many years. This is how we heal the Sister Wound, sending the ripples back through the generations.
