KATE FLETCHER

I trained and qualified as a midwife in the mid-90s, over the course of my varied midwifery career I specialised in and supported homebirths, natural autonomous births and full term breastfeeding
I worked for a short spell in Tanzania and Zanzibar gaining valuable cross cultural experience. I have undertaken extra training with La Leche league International and also Doula training with renowned childbirth expert Michelle Odent. In the last 10 years since giving birth to my own two children I have trained as a Priestess of Avalon and regularly take part in public ceremony with the Glastonbury Goddess Temple. I have undertaken training in Closing the Bones and other traditional postnatal healing techniques and I am deeply interested in researching and renewing the lost arts of the Sacred Birthkeeper. This has led to me now offering a new one year training for people who are interested in the reclaiming of this path of service.
