Workshop: The Bitter Sweet Taste Of Ixcacao
IxCacao is the ancient Mayan Goddess of cacao. She had humble but honourable origins as a Mayan Goddess. She was an ancient fertility Goddess, an earth Goddess in a matriarchal society where gathering crops and seeing to it that everyone was fed was woman’s work. Banishing hunger and providing for the safety and security of the people was her divine responsibility. The Goddess of chocolate reminds us that a luxurious world unfolds before your very eyes if you take a moment to still your “busyness” and take time to rejoice in those things which give you pleasure.
On this workshop journey you will rediscover Her story through dance, spoken word and a deeply moving Cacao ceremony. You will come face to face with IxCacao and drink from Her dark, bittersweet cup of love, tasting Her sacred elixir of life.
Together we will give thanks to this divine Goddess and place Cacao back safely in Her hands, remembering it is a “Food of the Goddess”.
Amanda writes: “I have walked many paths throughout life, nurse, teacher, corporate manager but none has given me more pleasure and fulfilment than being a Priestess of Avalon and Priestess of Rhiannon. I weave a rich life tapestry in service to beautiful souls offering Goddess workshops, sacred cacao ceremonies, creating delicious raw chocolate, deep sacred ceremonial Yoni healing ceremonies and teaching yoga.
Through my work as a chocolatier I have come to love and honour IxCacao and the abundant joy that She brings to life and Her great gifts of health and nutrition.
I live in the gentle rolling landscape of rural Leicestershire with my beloved John Earthfire Reeves and enjoy walking the land, connecting to the Great Mother.
